A message from your team at the practice

Our heartfelt thoughts are with all those that have been affected and we are extremely thankful for the amazing efforts of our healthcare professionals. We know we have great people who will continue to help us through the challenges ahead.

We have always led with the guiding principle of placing people at the heart of everything we do. We know that you depend on us to look after your vision, and especially in times like these we want to ensure that you have total peace of mind in relation to your eyecare and our ongoing support.

Rest assured that we continue to monitor the situation and receiving regular updates from Public Health England, NHS England, and our regulatory bodies as to how we should be conducting ourselves, and we are adhering to all the current guidelines to allow us to continue to provide the best possible care to you and your family.

Based on the current advice, we are able to see patients with emergency and essential eyecare and eyewear needs, by appointment and we will still try to address your requirements remotely if we able to do so. As always, we will be available by email or on the phone if you require any help from our eyecare team.

Know the guidance

Before attending the practice for your next appointment we would be grateful if you would review the most up to date government guidance – just click this link https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

Keep us in the loop

Please remember to call us or email us to let us know if you wish to reschedule any of your booked appointments. We would be happy to schedule an alternative date for you.

At your next appointment

We place patient safety as a top priority and as a result of this eye examinations may take a little longer as we implement additional sanitising of equipment, regular disinfection of door handles, frequent cleaning of frames and sunglasses throughout the day. Rest assured our teams are well-equipped with hand sanitiser and we will be encouraging our patients to wear masks for additional protection and assurance. Please use the hand sanitiser upon entering and leaving the building and observe the social distancing measures that are in place.

To reduce close contact between patients we will be rearranging our furniture. This may mean the chairs in our waiting area are spaced further apart than normal and/or every other desk will be left free when measuring and fitting glasses and contact lenses for our patients.

We hope this message goes some way to reassuring you that we are here to look after you and look forward to servicing your eyecare needs in due course.
